St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi is a renowned educational institution located in the Indian state of Jharkhand. Established in 1944 by the Patna province of the Society of Jesus, a Catholic religious order with roots tracing back to St. Ignatius of Loyola in 1540, the college is affiliated to Ranchi University and holds the status of being an Autonomous College.
Initially affiliated with Patna University, St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi switched its affiliation to Ranchi University in 1960.
